Job Description
The Program Control Analyst supports complex programs as assigned through collaboration with department leadership to provide excellent customer service by presenting relevant, accurate, and timely financial data as required. This position may mentor or train other analysts.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare billing data to assist invoicing efforts in accordance with government procedures and guidelines.
- Review purchase requisitions for budget availability, proper approvals and assignment of the proper charge code. Flags inappropriate expenditures to appropriate budgeting authorities.
- Budget preparation and maintenance within the computer based financial accounting system and the computer-based program management system.
- Prepares internal and external program cost/schedule and budget vs. actual management reports, as assigned.
- Performs project EstiEstimate to Complete (ETC) analysis
- Prepares reports and analyses for review of program performance
- Assists in the preparation of cost proposals in accordance with company policies and practices and in accordance with government regulations, including but not limited to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), as assigned.
- Supports pricing efforts and assist in the preparation of a complete and accurate pricing volume for submittal to FlightSafety’s various customers in accordance with government regulations, as assigned
- Assists in the preparation and maintenance of complete documentation and supports appropriate audits.
- Assists the Program Control Manager by providing support during Earned Value Management System (EVMS) re-baseline efforts, comprehensive Estimate at Complete (EAC) updates and research and audit projects, as required.
- Provide Performance metrics and other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Support other special projects and pricing exercises, as needed.
- Supports special projects and research activities, as needed.
- Assists in training and development of team members
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, with an emphasis in accounting or finance or four years combination of education, experience, and training, in addition to what is listed.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
3-5 years related experience in accounting for finance. Audit experience desired.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Working knowledge of Windows applications including Excel, and Word.
- Working knowledge of accounting.
- Excellent computer skills, including data entry.
- Ability to fluently read, write, speak and understand English.
- Ability to clearly relay information, both verbally and written to others.
- Computer/Printer-Copier-Calculator-Software programs, such as Windows applications, Excel, and Word
